Triund Trek
3 min read

My Goal is to build a life I don't need a vacation from.....
The cloud of dreams you envision follows you every moment and you wouldn’t dare missing them. Do you? Likewise, when an opportunity for a road trip knocked my door, how could I afford to reject it? A special Thanks to Tanu, you make my day and push these crazy grey cells more.
Two persons united with a common purpose. Of the two, one started hysterically at 4 in the morning riding a car on the lonely NH1. Yeah this crazy guy is me, pat on your shoulder if you guessed it right. The first sight that beheld us was my College in Murthal, reminiscing good or bad, but old days were becoming green now as the memories flushed. Our casual banter continued till we reached Kiratpur. There we got another friend who was charmingly sincere & responsible. Thus, three of us headed towards Sujanpur on the Palampur highway. This was not the first time I found myself sitting on the lap of Himalayas but the only difference was that we covered about 450 kms in 10 hours, half of the journey being curvaceous & serpentine.
A solo travelling is meant to be alone so after a day halt with Tanu, I moved ahead to Dharamshala in the H.P.
As soon as i reached Dharamshala, 3 more joined me. In no time, we became friends and decided to relish the rest of the trip together. Soon, we reached Mcleodganj which was quite endearing to view. We searched out for a Hotel and at 3:30 we thought of trekking to Triund but we were forbade to do so by the authorities and therefore had to settle for Mcleodganj only. Nearby the Trek starting point, from Ajju's Shop the view of Sunset was epic and we ended up staying there for more than 2 hours. You could easily see people bustling about the place. Later, we went down to hotel room enjoying the scenery and jesting to amuse ourselves. After taking dinner we opted to sleep but the excitement didn't let me sleep. We were ready for the trek by 7 am in the morning, as the entry was about to start from 8 am. Surprisingly, we were the first one to dash into the trekking Zone for that day.
After having Coffee and tea at Chhote's cafe we started our trek, meeting people who were damn crazy for trekking. Some were fearless of the Wild Deer. But, the cherry on the cake was the picturesque scenic beauty.
We kept Camera busy on the way capturing some unforgettable moments. Coming to Trekking part, we had some initial hiccups because of the slippery snow but overall it was a magnificent trek. As we reached the zenith, it was a heavenly view. The cool breeze accompanied with singing of birds made it a breathtakingly moment. Our initial response was to spend the night there but the conscious brain was afraid of the Snowfall and Storm. While we were saying goodbye to the best 3 hours of our trip we saw hell lot of people climbing up in amazement and we couldn’t resist motivating them to see the splendid view.
When we reached back to the starting point, we beckoned the taxi and retraced our steps back to our hotel. Packed our stuff and kicked off back to Delhi. Unluckily, the vociferous chirpings of the Car Driver spoiled the much needed sleep. We reached Delhi at about 4 in the morning.
It amazes me how the intended solo trip turned to a group travel, adding wonderful friends to my life.

*Advice Mode On*-: Pack your stuff & kick butt to start a solo trip, you will learn a lot from the solitude. In case you enjoy the “Me” time then you can find the company definitely.
There exists a story behind every scene.
